This video shows you how to change the default slide size from 4:3 to 16 : 9.
Newer laptops have wider screens so a 16 : 9 slide will fit perfectly. this will also be ideal for wide screen overhead digital projectors. All the new projectors have this capability.

Changing dimension of the sheet is elementary. What I assume people is looking for is converting a 3/4 file into a 16/9 in few time without stretching images.
