Koh Ta Kiev island – The Least Known

Koh Takiev Island, Sihanoukville, Cambodia.
Koh Ta Kiev island is the biggest of a small group of Cambodian islands, situated 4 km off Otres beach, Sihanoukville City and just 1 km off the coast of Ream National Park, Sihanoukville Province.
Its predominantly forested area of 6.70 km² is without any noticeable elevation.
Just four kilometres and less than one hour away from the mainland.
Koh Ta Kiev is one of the closest islands to Sihanoukville,
and on the itinerary of many of the popular day trips,
and island tours that leave from the town and Otres Beach.
Not so many people stay overnight on the island though,
which is a shame, because it’s beautiful,
and has a few easily accessible beaches.

  1. Koh Ta Kiev is one of the most beautiful places to visit on
earth, and part of what makes it so spectacular is that it is largely
untouched for the most part. It is near to Koh Rong. The land is not the home to wide ranging tourism and, in fact, has only been open to tourism since 2014. Getting to Koh Ta Kiev:

  2. Getting to Koh Ta Kiev

Located in Ream National Park on the eastern edge of Sihanoukville, Koh Ta Kiev is just a stone’s throw from the mainland. Although the island is most easily reached from Ream, where pick-ups can be arranged through Monkey Maya or Ream Beach, the majority of boats leave from Otres Beach. Another possibility is to arrange a privately chartered boat from Serendipity, Ochheuteal, or Victory Hill during the high season (November through May or June, depending on the weather).
